Series of 4 dance classes over 3 days with additional casual community gatherings, all outdoors! May 23 - 25

Spend Memorial Weekend moving with the community under the sun and sky ā€” four outdoor dance classes plus optional group activities to chill, connect, and celebrate life together. All group activities outside the dance classes are optional and designed to be casual- come and go as you please!Ā

SLIDING SCALE REGISTRATION

SLIDING SCALE PAYMENT OPTION & WHAT IS INCLUDED

Pay-what-you-can can sliding scale between $80 - $150.Ā 

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

  • All 4 dance classes with Abagail.
  • Weekend schedule with coordination of group activities: we think of the details so you don't have to! We'll let you know best places to rent bikes, where to meet, when, and what to bring, so you can just show up and enjoy with community!Ā 
  • Snacks and refreshments for Sunday beach hang and picnic, but we encourage folks to bring a dish or drink to share!Ā 
  • Cups and a little bubbly for the sip 'n sunset.
  • Additional list of our local recommendations, in case you want to go out and explore the area or Los Angeles on your own. This will help you save time and energy searching around for where to go.Ā 
  • We'll provide some helpfulĀ basics so you don't have to lug it around:Ā tent for shade coverage, some beach chairs, cooler with ice.Ā 

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN PAYMENT:

  • Bike rental
  • Meals, coffee, or personalĀ  purchases
  • Lodging or transportation
  • Sunset sip 'n sunset is BYOB in case you have a preferred drink, non-alcoholic or otherwise.Ā 
  • Beach towels
  • Drinking water- bring your own water to dance classes! There are public water fountains on the beach but its better to come prepared with enough water.Ā

FRIDAY May 23

  • Sunset dance class 6:30-8PM

SATURDAY May 24

  • Morning dance class 10:30 AM -12:00 PM
  • Lunch break - optional group lunch link up atĀ a local favorite spot, casual dining.Ā Ā 
  • Afternoon dance class 2:30-4:00PM
  • Optional group link up - Sunset boardwalk bike ride Venice to Santa Monica for sip 'n sunset! Chill vibes, home by 9PM.

SUNDAY May 25

  • Morning dance class 10:30 AM -12:00 PM
  • Optional group link up - picnic at the beach with refreshments and snack! Bring a dish to share, come and go as you please.Ā 

Memorial Weekend Experience

Heart Dancer Experience Memorial Weekend: May 23 - 25 A series of 4 dance classes + optional group activities. Sliding scale payment $80-$150, pay-what-you-can! Includes all 4 classes and coordination of group activities. Does not include meals, bike rentals, lodging or transportation.  Regster with your contact info then you will be prompted to make your sliding scale contribution via Venmo or Zelle to complete your registration.

LOCATION

Our dance classes will take place outdoors at Ocean View Park in Santa Monica:Ā 2701 Barnard Way, Santa Monica, CA 90405. Our other community activities will take place near the beach and boardwalk in Venice Beach and Santa Monica.Ā 

If you are visiting Los Angeles and wondering where to stay, we recommend Santa Monica or Venice Beach. Other nearby areas a short driving distance from our activity locations are Mar Vista, Marina Del Rey, or Playa Vista.
