LIVE ZOOM CLASSES

This class is a follow along dance party for all levels! It's a stylistic fusion of African dance styles varying from traditional to contemporary and popular dances. The class is an exploration and movement dialogue between West African, Central African, Kuduro, Amapiano, Afro House, Dancehall, and more. 45 minute class.

This online Sabar Basics class focuses on foundational steps within Sabar dance, from Senegal, West Africa.  Great for beginners or intermediate students wanting to refine their skills.

Honoring the Arts

A portion of all HDE proceeds goes back into community lead organizations that support African arts and education programs.
 

HDE is partnered with non-profit organization, DRUM the Program and Ballet Bu ette Senegal to ensure that our dance practice gives back to the greater African and African Diaspora communities. A portion of all HDE proceeds will be donated on a reoccurring basis to these two organizations, in support of their programs and initiatives. More info coming soon...

We are honored to have Awa Pikine teaching through the HDE platform, online AND in-person in Los Angeles! Awa has been a principal dancer with the National Ballet of Senegal, and top ballet companies and artists in Senegal, including Ballet Waato Siita,  Youssou N'Dour, Vivian Child, Oscar de Vacances, + much more. Join us LIVE in-person & online!
